This video demonstrates some of the features and capabilities of the "Space Crawler". The Space Crawler is a rugged, multi-function robot with a wireless color pan/tilt/zoom camera on a 4WD all-terrain vehicle. It can climb 30 degree inclines and carry 10 lbs. of gear. It is equipped to see in total darkness and the operator has the option to record the streaming live video feed. The wireless feature enables the operator to be in a safe and comfortable environment, while controlling the robot which can be in the dangerous, hostile or uncomfortable environment. The video shows the vehicle demonstrating it’s infra-red vision and suggests some other potential applications.
