Spider Mite Videos
This video demonstrates some of the features and capabilities of the "Spider Mite". The Spider Mite is a small, nimble, low profile robot with a wireless color pan/tilt camera on a 4WD all-terrain vehicle. It can climb 45 degree inclines and carry 5 lbs. of gear. It is equipped to see in total darkness and the operator has the option to record the streaming live video feed. The video shows the vehicle crawling in a crawl space one floor below the operator and suggests some other applications.
Spider Mite Capabilities Video
This video demonstrates the under-vehicle inspection capabilities of the Spider Mite Video Inspection System. The pan/tilt camera assembly mounted on this robot is enables the inspector to drive the robot under the vehicle to be inspected and "look around" for contraband and or bombs. The robot is controlled from a safe distance- even inside a building. Imagine A car bomb threat in a parking lot, full of cars. These bots could be rapidly deployed and quickly search hundreds of parked cars.
Under Vehicle Inspection
This is the Spider Mite with some added features. It is an Inspection Robot designed for crawl spaces and hard-to-access places. The X-Terminator has an articulated arm, which can raise the wireless camera up 24 inches. It also features a self-retracting ground probe which can flip over small objects like pieces of wood and then zoom-in with its onboard 550-line camera and light and transmit live video to an operator wearing a virtual reality headset. The X-Terminator is capable of probing with its arm-mounted probe. For example, a building inspector can easily use this feature -to tap on joists or beams to check for soft wood -evidence of possible termite damage.
Inspection Robot with 24” Arm
This Video demonstrates the Spider Mite Video Inspection Robotic System. The Spider Mite is shown working in difficult, dirty and dangerous environments such as crawl spaces. The system is designed to make it easier and safer for Building Inspectors to inspect these difficult-to-access, dangerous and confined spaces. This video demonstrates some of the features and capabilities of the "Spider Mite".

This Video Shows the Spider Mite Video Inspection Robot jumping over various diameter ABS and PVC pipes, often found in Crawl Spaces -under houses and used for drains and sewer lines. The Spider Mite is one of several Robotic Platforms developed by Inspectorbots and used primarily for remote video inspection.
